Big impact wallpaper

With the breeze blocks on the front façade providing an instant transportation to the Californian style, the master bedroom needed a wow factor. This was certainly achieved with the big impact of the wallpaper that imitates the art deco look and feel.

Retro is the new black

With a distinctly Mid-Century Modern style, the décor in this home blends with its unique features. With ghost chairs, velvet lounges, round side tables and plenty of gold tones throughout, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. ” I drew my inspiration from mid-century modern style but wanted to make it more contemporary” Lynnette Kohler

Pastel Perfect

The colour palette within the home and décor recreates the charm of the mid-20^th century. The hue of pink chosen for the wall tiles in the ensuite matched with the grey terrazzo floor tiles and white walls makes the space relaxing without feeling too feminine. The adage ‘pink and green must never be seen’ means nothing when those colours are perfectly melded as Lynnette has done in this home.

Life’s a breeze

One of the hallmarks of the Palm Springs design style are breeze blocks. Originally used to encourage passive cooling and heating in the desert climate, in the Palmera they create a feature wall separating the dining and multi-purpose room.
