‘Views open to living areas’
The West Australian, New Homes, 25th July
The living areas are at the back of the Lakeview display home, to take advantage of views.
As a result, the three secondary bedrooms are at the front of the home, forming part of a separate zone, which has a bathroom, separate toilet, laundry and a handy walk-in linen cupboard.
Dale Alcock Homes managing director, Dale Alcock, said the Lakeview was a welcome addition to the company’s range.
“It has provided an excellent design option of living to the rear and sleeping to the front,” Mr Alcock said.
“Homebuyers have appreciated the option of all integrated living rooms taking advantage of rear views and interaction with the landscape garden.”
The Lakeview was designed for growing families. “There is well-considered zoning for both entertaining and bedroom areas so each remains very separate and self-contained,” he said.
“The kitchen also functions as a central hub to the living spaces and allows for greater family interaction with the alfresco area and home theatre because of its location. By positioning entertainment areas at the back if the home, it has allowed for privacy within the sleeping quarters at the front of the home.”
The kitchen and dining area overlook the living area and this open-plan section has floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in light and give views of the garden.
The alfresco area is separated from the home by two walls of full-length windows and two sliding glass doors.
If the sliding doors are opened, the boundary between the living area and the alfresco area disappears, creating one bug indoor-outdoor area.
There is a home theatre next to the living area, which is separated by a half-wall.
Above the base of the wall is a big floating panel, which provides privacy and space for flat-screen television with drawers below.
The living room and home theatre could be treated as separate rooms, as displayed, or the dividing wall could be deleted to provide one big room.
The main suite has a big floor-to-ceiling window, spacious dressing room with built-in cabinetry and an ensuite with two vanities and a separate toilet.
