A frill-ing deal

When you’re building your first home there’s usually little left in the budget for luxury touches. Second time around it can be a different story altogether.
Whether it’s the ultimate built-in barbecue kitchen, the must-have designer tap or the fully fitted dressing room, there’s a whole wealth of fixtures, fittings and finishes to admire and lust after.
Dale alcock Homes has already done a lot of the homework for you, building some wow-factor features in the Nautilus, on display in Piara Waters.
“When we were designing the Nautilus we were conscious of the fact that today’s homebuyers are looking for an element of luxury that they were not able to afford when they built their first new home,” says Dale Alcock, managing director at Dale Alcock Homes.
Cue the triangular highlight windows above the sliding doors to the alfresco, the 80mm CaesarStone fascia to the island bench, the hob-free showers and the five-star dressing room in the Nautilus.
“The Nautilus is a true family home, et it still offers a luxurious features that set it apart from the norm,” Dale says.
“With an opulent master suite, a range of entertainment options, including a generous open-plan living room, alfresco, home theatre and office, it has something for every family member.”
Room sizes are generous, the specification is impressive and the zoning of bedrooms and living areas is structured so that everyone has their own space.
Positioned at the back of the home to take advantage of rear views toa park, canal, golf course or glorious back garden, the living areas feature a high raking ceiling that continues out to the alfresco.
“The raking ceiling adds a sense of openness and grandeur to the living space,” Dale says.
The triangular highlight windows not only throw in plenty of natural light, they also continue the visual of the angled ceiling so that it’s harder to tell when the indoors ends and the outdoors begins.
Contemporary yet family-friendly, the Nautilus has an award-winning kitchen inspired by European design trends.
Featuring cabinet work in a wood-effect laminate, the kitchen has ample work space with stone benchtops and plenty of storage, including space for a serious wine fridge.
The design team has also considered the location of the home office, positioning it close to the open-plan living area to encourage family interaction.
“This component of the design was in direct response to the many requests we have had from clients wanting to have the office near the living space,” Dale says.
Dale Alcock Homes has developed a number of variations of the Nautilus to give buyers a range of options, including five bedrooms, a triple garage and an office to the front.
