With the kids grown up and flown the coup, the owners of this home wanted to improve the look and use of their home ready for retirement. Since doing the renovations, they feel like they "live in a resort".
This couple in Wembley loved the location of their old home, and with the kids gone, it seemed a perfect time to improve ready for their retirement.
A second storey was added to the existing single storey home, with the improvement including a master retreat, theatre, gym and alfresco area.
Sitting in the new upstairs extension, this room is perfect for movie nights with family and friends. Hollywood stars hang on the walls, whilst the large screen is perfect for them quiet nights in, all that's missing is the popcorn!
This large master bedroom located in the new second storey extension is bright and spacious with lots of room to move. A long feature wall consisting of two smaller windows is great to add natural lighting to the room, and also brings a contemporary feel.
Lots of space is what comes to mind when looking at this large ensuite. With two basins sitting in the vanity at the rear of the room, and a large shower complete with seamless glass screens to the side, there is plenty of room to move and stay out of each others way during the morning rush.
The decked alfresco area in this home is perfect for all occasions, whether it be outdoor breakfasts in summer, or simply entertaining family and friends. Located at the front of the home, this alfresco is secluded by garden foliage and brings a resort feel to the home.
