With two young boys coming into their teenage years, extra space was necessary for this family. With a lack of land space to expand outwards, it was decided to expand upwards creating a 5 bed 3 bath home from its original 3 x 2, & adding living area's to give everyone in the home their own space.
With two young boys coming into their teenage years, extra space was necessary for this family. With a lack of land space to expand outwards, the owners of this home decided to expand upwards, creating a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom home from its original 3 x 2, and creating more living areas which gives everyone in the home their own space.
This seamless extension has kept with the original charisma of the home and it's hard to believe the second storey has not always been there.
The new upstairs living area is a great place to hide away and watch movies. Sitting to the west of the stairwell, the room is completely enclosed helping to keep the sound confined to one area.
The activity room sits next to the two large upstairs bedrooms, creating a great entertaining area for the two teenage boys in the home. Room for video games or simply watching television, this is great use of the upstairs area.
Large double bedrooms were part of the design in the second storey extension, making sure there is plenty of room for teenage boys.
The upstairs bathroom has been created for this teenager retreat. Twin basins have created more space so that no more fights to brush teeth are taken place before school on them rushed mornings.
